Product Updates 2025

Every Storykit product update released in 2025, newest first: Autocut for webinars, Storybot, text highlights, PDF to video and more.

Storykit released these product updates in 2025, listed newest first. Each entry links to the help article with the current steps. For earlier updates, see Product Updates 2024. For later updates, see Product Updates 2026.

27 November 2025 – Autocut for Webinars

A new Autocut workflow was launched that turns long-form recordings such as webinars into social-ready videos automatically:

  1. You upload your video file.

  2. Storykit's Editorial Intelligence transcribes it, finds the strongest quotes and writes the scripts.

  3. You get several video drafts, fully branded and captioned, to review and publish.

A single 60-minute webinar can generate 8–20 videos, so you can fill your content calendar without manual editing.

16 September 2025 – Storybot

Storybot, an AI chatbot, was added to Storykit. You can ask Storybot anything, from a simple question to a complex editing challenge. It gives instant answers, guides you through your process, and finds relevant articles and tutorial videos.

3 September 2025 – Text Highlights With Background Plates

Background plates became available for text highlights in the Storyboard Editor. Before, you could only add background plates to entire paragraphs. Now you can add a background plate to a single word, a phrase or an entire paragraph, to make key messages stand out in your brand style.

10 June 2025 – PDF to Video

PDF upload was added, so you can turn a PDF, such as a company report, into video. Key findings in PDFs often get buried because PDFs aren't built for sharing on digital channels. With PDF upload, you can turn those insights into video in one click, to grow your reach, build your brand and generate leads.

9 June 2025 – Five New Slides

Five slides were added:

  • Wipe Cover: a quick text slide that chains easily with other Wipe Cover slides, for eye-catching dividers or rapid sequences of text.

  • Flow Text: a modern text slide that works best in a group, where each line seems to move from one slide to the next in one motion.

  • Growing Circle: a word-by-word slide with a rotating animation, for fast-paced and lively sections.

  • Shifting Lines: an eye-catching slide that works as an intro or a divider, with many options for customization.

  • Multitext: a powerful slide for consistent, controlled layouts, for example videos based on reports. It has many settings to get right.
