Introduction

The "From Thought to Quote Creator" in the Autocut series is designed to convert monologue-style or freeform video transcripts into Q&A-style video scripts for engaging social or editorial output. This Creator editorially infers questions from the speaker's flow, drawing out the most relevant themes and structuring the narrative as a natural conversation, anchored by verbatim spoken answers.

How It Works

Input Section

The Creator begins by accepting the following inputs:

Transcription: An srt-encoded transcript with chunk indices and spoken content from a talking head video.

User Input: Optional instructions for speaker info, context, theme, corrections, or creative intent.

System Message and Selection Protocol

Autocut/Chunk Selection:

  • Editorially infer 2–3 concise questions (max 10 words each) based on the natural pauses, shifts in topic, or implicit sub-themes in the transcript.

  • For each, select a continuous set of chunks that together form a grammatically complete verbatim answer to the question.

  • Each answer must begin at a sentence boundary and end at a sentence terminator, using the Sentence Boundary Enforcement Protocol.

  • Answers should target about 15–40 words, with up to 60 allowed for sentence integrity and flow.

  • Chunk indices for answers are output as arrays (TH1, TH2, TH3) to precisely reference the original video material.

User Input Handling:

  • Analyzes user input for spelling corrections, thematic focus, speaker/context, or stylistic intent and applies these elements in strict priority order: corrections > focus/theme > speaker/context > creative intention.

  • Directs all question formation, chunk selection, and written framing according to the input provided.

Writing Section

The output uses a structured, editorially inferred Q&A format:

Headline: Writes a headline that expresses the topic of the piece.

Setup Paragraph: Writes a short setup (1–2 sentences) that frames the theme and naturally introduces the subject.

First Question: Prints the first editorially inferred question.

First Answer Chunks: Outputs chunk indices for the first answer as an array.

Second Question: Prints the second editorially inferred question.

Second Answer Chunks: Outputs chunk indices for the second answer as an array.

Bridge: Writes a bridge line that connects the first and second answers.

Third Question: Prints the third editorially inferred question.

Third Answer Chunks: Outputs chunk indices for the third answer as an array.

Wrap-up Paragraph: Writes a short paragraph concluding the reflection or insight.

Autocut CTA: Uses the [Autocut CTA Phrase] if available or a translated version of "Thank you for watching."

Best Use Scenarios

This Creator is ideal for:

  • Monologue-to-Conversation Videos: Turning personal or reflective speeches into lively Q&A explainer videos.

  • Thought Leadership and Expert Showcases: Highlighting moments of insight by editorially shaping the speaker’s message with natural Q&A flow.

  • Social Snippets: Creating concise, interaction-ready edit points for sharing and marketing.
