The Big Idea (Thoughtleading)

Updated over 2 months ago

Introduction

The "The Big Idea Creator" is an Autocut-powered tool that turns transcribed thought leadership or reflection segments into concise, visionary video scripts focusing on a core thesis. This Creator uses the actual spoken words of a leader to anchor the narrative, ensuring that the selected segment is not only impactful but also aligned with user-specified or inferred focus, context, or creative intention.

How It Works

Input Section

The Creator begins by accepting the following inputs:

Transcription: The srt-encoded transcript with chunk indices and spoken content.

User Input: Optional guidance for speaker info, context, theme, corrections, or tone/style.

System Message and Selection Protocol

Autocut/Chunk Selection:

  • The Creator selects and returns only complete sentences from consecutive chunk indices using the "Sentence Boundary Enforcement Protocol."

  • The quote segment may cross several chunks but always starts at the beginning of a sentence and ends at a sentence terminator (period, exclamation mark, question mark).

  • The chosen quote should ideally be 25–40 words, but completeness overrides word count and may extend up to 75 words.

  • The output must include the array of the indices used, enabling accurate match with video segments.

User Input Handling:

  • Analyzes the User Input for speaker/context, focus/theme, correction, and creative intention.

  • Applies these elements hierarchically: corrections > focus/theme > speaker/context > creative intention.

  • Uses input to guide headline, intro, framing, theme, and tonal choices.

Writing Section

In crafting the output, this Creator uses a visionary and structured approach:

Headline: Writes a declarative headline (max 8 words) that captures the core idea.

Problem/Question Intro: Writes a sentence defining the problem or question behind the idea.

Quote Markers: Outputs the chunk indices ( array) for the selected quote expressing the main idea.

Universal Reframe: Writes a sentence that re-frames the quote in universal terms, explaining its current relevance.

Forward-Looking Close: Writes a sentence that closes with a tension or forward-looking invitation.

Autocut CTA: Uses the [Autocut CTA Phrase] if available, otherwise a suitable sign-off (e.g., "Thank you for watching.").

Best Use Scenarios

This Creator is ideal for:

  • Thought Leadership Content: Communicating core insights from leadership talks or expert reflections.

  • Event or Keynote Recaps: Turning “big idea” moments from public appearances into shareable short videos.

  • Executive Communications: Articulating vision and problem-solving narratives from leaders, anchored by their own voices.

User Guide

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Provide the Transcription: Upload or paste the full srt transcript from the video.

  2. Set User Input: Optionally specify focus, context, tone, or specific terminology corrections.

  3. Run the Creator: The model parses instructions, selects the necessary chunks for the main idea, and generates a complete video narrative with index references.

  4. Review and Customize: Refine headlines, bridges, or CTA phrasing for platform or audience.

Tinker with it

Steer the Theme or Context: Use User Input to narrow focus (e.g., "sustainability insights" or "innovation at our annual summit").

Adjust Tone and CTA: Set the mood for optimism, urgency, reflection, or credibility based on use case.
